Counselling Ministry

Professional counselling services are offered on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at the church offices from 09:00 – 12:00.

Sue van der Spuy is a Registered Counselor who obtained her Honours degree in Psychology from the Institute of Christian Psychology (ICP).

Her area of specialisation is: Trauma and Pastoral counseling. Trauma is defined as ” anything that overwhelms your present coping mechanisms”. There are various types of trauma: physical ( eg hijack, illness, fire etc). Emotional trauma (eg death, divorce, stress etc). Secondary trauma (carers of ill people and witnessing others trauma).

People of all ages are welcome. Appointments can be scheduled via the church office or she can be contacted on 082 883 8227 or susanvds@nashuaisp.co.za.

Donations are welcome but not obligatory. This is a community ministry and not only for church members.
